Vail - Sept. 2013

About a month ago we went to Vail with Scott's family. We stayed in a time share in Avon. It was a great week and a much needed break for everyone. The weather was wonderful and we missed all the flooding that was going on closer to home. We got to relax and enjoy everyones company. One of my favorite things is to see Scott and his brothers together. They become kids again. It is so sad being so far away from them and their families, but it makes the time we all are together that much better. I was also looking forward to meeting my beautiful niece, Eden (Tyler and Mackenzie's little girl). She was a sweetheart and Chloe loved her. She would call Eden "baby" or "Bay".

Chloe loved the Hot Springs. She loves playing in the water so much.

And the sunsets were beautiful. It is too bad that pictures never do it justice.

Every morning Chloe would wake up and go into the other room, climb on the couch, and lean into the pack and play that Eden slept in and say hi. She was always so excited to see Eden.

We got to go to Piney River Ranch, which was my personal favorite of the whole week. It was a cool day and the lake and mountains were beautiful. I had never been canoeing. There is something so peaceful and calming about being on lake, especially when the scenery was so pretty. I think I have a new hobby! There were also several moose we got to see and were able to get pretty close to them. It was quite an experience.

After we all joked about falling in and Scott threatened to tip our canoe several times, Allison and Ryan flipped while getting in. They sunk into the mud up to their hips and the water went up to their shoulders. It might not have been fun at the time, although I chuckled a little anyways, but it is a fun memory now.

Seriously, how could anyone not love being here.

We miss it and everyone already. Hopefully we get the chance to go back in the future.
