Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!

It was so great to celebrate father's day yesterday with Scotty. His first father's day was so great. How could it not be with a wonderful daughter like this who was just so happy and smiley all day!
One of my favorite things over the past few months has been watching my husband transform into a dad, and let me just say, he is a great one. Our little girl loves him. She has been able to recognize our voices and I just love how when Scott walks in the room or says something, she lifts her head and looks for daddy!

Yesterday was great. We went to church with Chloe yesterday for the first time for all three hours. It was an experience that's for sure. I am not use to taking care of a baby while going to church. Everyone was so sweet and willing to help. It will take some getting used to but I'm alright with that. Scott was loving showing her off. It was great to be reminded of the importance of fatherhood. After church we went home and all three of us got a short nap in. Then we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Grey's so Grandpa could get some quality Chloe loving time for fathers day. My dad is just great with her. He is so good at calming her down and playing with her. It was so sweet to watch that. My dad hasn't had a lot of time with her since he is so busy with work all day and umpiring women's softball nights and weekends. That is when he isn't traveling for work anyways. Next, we headed to Grammy and Poppa Jones' house for dinner. It was a great meal with people we love. Poppa got his chance to love on our little girl. She just loves the sound of his voice.
Amy came over with her boys for a while. It was great to see them as well.

They had fun dressing up in all of Scott's old costumes after having a crazy water war.

Scotty got a very nice golf shirt and shorts from his mom and dad! He can't wait to use them. And Chloe and I got a great deal on the 24 series for him. We will all enjoy that!

Growing up I was always a daddy's girl! My dad taught me so much. He was my biggest fan and greatest supporter. I looked up to him so much, and of course, I still do. He has always been a hero to me. I love him with all my heart. Thank you dad.

Scott and my dad are very similar. And I know that he will be a hero to our daughter. He is going to have so much fun with her and other kids we may have in the future. I love you, thank you for being a wonderful husband and father. You're the best!

My friend shared this cute video and I can't help but pass it on. It definitely had me shedding a few tears. It's so cute but so true. There are things that dad's CAN'T do. I know my dad couldn't do them, thats for sure. Watch and see. I bet most dad's can't do these things either.

Happy Father's Day  to all you dads out there!
